- The FJ75 was never constructed for Japan, the 75 series trucks and troop carriers (Troopies) were manufactured for export only. There were a very few that were converted for government or other special uses in Japan, this is a fine example of these trucks. The 3FE is a thirsty but powerful 6 cylinder engine that creates excellent torque at a low rpm. Couple this engine with the reliability and strength of the H55F 5 speed and 4.11 differential gears and you can move mountains. The Japanese knew this and applied this technology to the building of the FJ75 Fire Truck.
- This unit can easily be converted to a regular work horse pickup with the removal of the fire truck rear box (8 bolts) and roof panel (10 bolts) and the installation of the factory box and original roof. The truck is ready for any task you require.
- For those that desire a diesel we can install a 5 cylinder 115 hp 1PZ R141 transmission or a 135 hp 6 cylinder 1HZ with H55F transmission. Either of these can be turbo charged for 30% more power. Both are reliable fuel efficient and quiet engines which work excellent in these trucks. Is this still not enough power for you? Then an intercooler will be a great addition to the turbo charger. Still not enough? Then we can add Propane Injection, this will knock your socks off but still retain total every day drive ability and not hamper the off-road capability of this unit. The cost will not be cheap to those that choose this route but the results as amazing.
- At this time this unit can not be imported to the states unless you own a farm, logging company or a mine.
